Antique Lacquer & Carved Panel Chest
A 20th century carved cabinet from China. This cabinet is a distinct design of cabinets from this region, who are famed for their wood carvings.
There are many interesting carvings on this cabinet. The three drawers at the top of the cabinet as well as the two cabinet doors feature a lively dancing scene.
The hardware appears to be original. The panels on the center of the cabinet doors may have been repaired at some point as their is a visible line running horizontally across both.
Material used appears to be Elm and Pine with the carved panels carved from Camphor wood.
