Fine Sumak Kilim
Sumak is a comparatively rare type of Kilim, from the old town of Shemakja (Republic of Azerbaijan). Sumak kilim rugs have a flat-woven style, and its threads which are usually embroidered are not cut off at the back. The wefts strands (serving a decorative role rather than the structural role of knotted carpets) are threaded through some warp strands and then looped back.
