Paul Revere Electric Lantern, Pierced Tin Colonial Revival
A large pierced-tin candle-lantern form, electrified for modern use, in the American Colonial Revival tradition. The cylindrical steel body carries a hinged door and dense punched decoration — sunburst and fan motifs flanking a bold star-in-circle pattern — beneath a conical cap pierced with radiating slits and dot borders. A loop bail crowns the top, and the whole is finished in matte black. Base-labeled as the Two Foot Star Paul Revere Lamp, SKU 814447, from the C.T.W. Home Collection.
The "Paul Revere lantern" form references 18th-century American tinsmith work, where punched holes let candlelight escape in patterned constellations. This is a contemporary decorative production piece, not an antique — but at 24 inches it makes a genuine statement, and the tight punchwork throws a warm, patterned glow when lit. Wired for a standard bulb with an in-line cord switch, it is ready to use as an entryway, mantel, or patio accent without modification.
CONDITION
Excellent and fully functional. The wiring and in-line switch are tested and working; no remarkable damage. Finish is clean throughout.
