Metal Sunburst Wall Sculpture with Kokopelli & Saguaro, Verdigris Finish
A hand-forged iron wall sculpture built around a central medallion and a radiating crown of flame-like rays, each ray individually shaped and welded to the outer ring. Within the disc, a line-drawn desert scene pairs a tall branching saguaro with the hunched, flute-playing figure of Kokopelli, both rendered in continuous bent-rod outline and mounted on a flat ground bar. The surface wears a mottled verdigris patina over darker iron, with copper-toned oxidation breaking through at the high points.
The piece works as indoor or covered-patio décor, its open silhouette casting shadow patterns against the wall behind it. Welds are intact throughout and the assembly is sturdy, with a hanging point at the top ray. The blend of the sunburst motif with the desert vignette makes it a natural fit for a Mesilla Valley or borderland interior.
CONDITION
Good with age-appropriate wear. Rust and oxidation across the iron, with finish wear and loss to the verdigris patina, particularly along the ground bar and figure. Welds are intact and the sculpture hangs securely.
