Pietra Dura Style Floral Mosaic Top Coffee Table on Iron Frame
A square cocktail table pairing a stone-inlay mosaic top in the pietra dura tradition with an open two-tier iron frame. The panel centers on a carved white blossom framed by dark-green foliage and golden fronds against a mottled russet ground, ringed by a border of pink lotus forms, scrolling amber tendrils, and white accents set into a deep speckled green field. The composition reads as a formal garden medallion, meticulously fitted stone by stone.
The mosaic sits within a hand-forged iron frame finished in dark patina with worn copper-toned highlights along the top rail. Scrolled fleur-de-lis ornaments flank the legs, and a lower mirrored shelf brightens the open cube form. A removable glass top protects the stone surface. The construction is unmarked; welded joinery is consistent with hand-fabricated ironwork.
CONDITION
Very Good overall with no remarkable damage. The iron frame shows rust and oxidation with paint loss along the rails, consistent with age and the intended rustic finish. Light scratches to the protective glass top. Mosaic panel presents intact.
