2013-W Reverse Proof Silver Eagle — West Point Set, NGC PF70 Early Releases
A 2013-W American Silver Eagle struck in reverse proof from the celebrated West Point Eagle Set, certified NGC PF70 Early Releases. The reverse proof process inverts the standard finish — frosted fields against mirror-polished devices — giving the Walking Liberty obverse and heraldic eagle reverse a distinctive, high-contrast look prized for this single-year set. The coin carries the W mint mark and is struck in 1 oz. of .999 fine silver.
This issue originated with the 2013 West Point Two-Coin Silver Eagle Set, released to mark the U.S. Mint's West Point facility, which paired a reverse proof Eagle with an enhanced uncirculated companion. The PF70 grade represents the top of the NGC scale, with the Early Releases designation noting certification within the first 30 days of release. Housed in an NGC black-core holder, certification number 2040566-049.
CONDITION
Excellent. The coin grades NGC PF70, the highest proof designation. Scuffing to the case and minor scuffing to the capsule; the coin itself remains encapsulated and undamaged.
