Five-record lot of 1960s easy-listening and big-band LPs, single-owner and largely acquired across the 1960s and '70s. The group leans heavily on Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, the A&M sound that defined the decade's instrumental pop, alongside one entry from film-and-TV composer Henry Mancini. Two pressings of the iconic Whipped Cream & Other Delights are included — the foam-gown cover by Peter Whorf Graphics that became one of the most recognizable album images of the era.
The lot comprises Uniquely Mancini (RCA Victor Dynagroove, LPM-2692, 1963 mono); Whipped Cream & Other Delights in two copies (A&M LP 110 mono, and SP 4110 stereo); Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass Volume 2 (A&M SP 103 stereo); and S.R.O. (A&M SP 4119 stereo). Jackets carry period retail stickers, a Wollmer Co. Burlingame, CA tag, and old hand-priced markings — the kind of provenance trail typical of long-held original purchases.
CONDITION
Good overall, sold as shown. Records are playable; jackets show age-appropriate wear including ring wear, edge and corner softening, surface scuffing, and old price/retailer stickers.
