Webb Pierce Decca LP Lot of 4 + The Ink Spots — Country & Vocal Group, 1950s–60s
Five Decca 33⅓ RPM long-play albums from a single owner, four featuring honky-tonk star Webb Pierce alongside The Best of the Ink Spots. The Pierce titles span the singer's Decca run: WEBB! (DL 8899, with Owen Bradley and his Orchestra), the self-titled yellow-cover Webb Pierce (DL 8129, Hi-Fi), I've Got a New Heartache (DL 4358), and the stereo Memory #1 (DL 74604). The Ink Spots compilation is the mono pressing DL 8154, collecting "If I Didn't Care," "Java Jive," and "We Three."
The grouping pairs the smooth ballad style of the Ink Spots — among the most influential vocal groups of the 1930s–40s — with Pierce's run of Decca hits including "In the Jailhouse Now," "Walk On By," and "A Little Bitty Tear." All single-owner, most acquired in the 1960s and 1970s.
CONDITION
Records are playable, sold as shown. Jackets show age-appropriate wear: edge and corner softening, ring wear, light soiling, and a water stain to the verso of the Ink Spots sleeve. The Webb Pierce DL 8129 jacket has a pen notation to the top edge and a creased lower-left corner; price notations in pencil appear on several backs. No unpleasant odors.
