Chet Atkins Country & Nashville Sound LP Collection — 7 Records Incl. Carter Family, Single Owner
A seven-record group of country and Nashville Sound LPs from a single-owner collection, most acquired in the 1960s and 1970s, anchored by Chet Atkins — the guitarist who built the Nashville Sound and earned the title "Mister Guitar." Pressed on RCA Victor and its budget subsidiary RCA Camden, the lot spans the late 1950s through the mid-1960s and ranges from Atkins' early studio sessions to his Camden reissues and a stereo Dynagroove duet with Hank Snow.
The set also includes The Carter Family's "'Mid the Green Fields of Virginia" (LPM-2772, 1963), a reissue of foundational American folk and country recordings that draws a separate, overlapping roots-collector audience. LPM-1090, "A Session with Chet Atkins," is among his earliest RCA Victor long-players and the most sought title in the group. Two copies of "Mister Guitar" (LPM-2103) are present; one carries a marginally cleaner sleeve.
