Description

1895 Continental 925 Sterling Fiddle Pattern Teaspoons

A set of four sterling silver teaspoons in the enduring Fiddle pattern, with the rounded scalloped shoulder at the handle terminal that defines the form. Each spoon carries a fractional purity mark reading G 925/1000 S at the back of the bowl.

The set is divided between two monograms in matching period script: two spoons engraved S.E.M. and two engraved W.G.M., the shared "M" pointing to a single household — likely a married couple or two family members. Dated 1895 on the handle reverse.

CONDITION

Good overall with no remarkable damage. Surfaces show light scratching and tarnish consistent with age and use — we'll leave the polishing to you. Monograms (S.E.M. and W.G.M.) and the 1895 date remain crisp.
