Gregorian Copper Hand-Hammered Wall Plaque / Standing Dish, Model 304
Hand-hammered copper plaque from Gregorian Copper, a maker known for arts-and-crafts-influenced hammered metalwork. The square form carries deep, undulating planished texture across the body and a recessed center panel framed by a band of vertical chisel-stroke decoration. Scalloped, lobed corners and a softly fluted rim give the piece its organic, leaf-like silhouette. The reverse is signed "Gregorian Copper / 304 / Hand Hammered" and fitted with a small brass D-ring, allowing it to hang as a wall plaque or sit free-standing as a low dish.
The warm copper surface shows the maker's hammer marks throughout — each dimple individually struck, no two alike — with darker oxidized tones settling into the recesses. A versatile decorative object that reads equally as wall art or a sculptural catchall for a console or entry table.
CONDITION
Good with finish wear and loss consistent with age. Surface oxidation and tonal variation throughout the copper; light scratches to the center panel. We'll leave the polishing to you.
