Charles Walker Signed Index Card — NASA Payload Specialist, COA Included
Bold pencil signature of Charles Walker on a standard 3" × 5" index card. Walker flew three Space Shuttle missions in 1984 and 1985 — STS-41-D, STS-51-D, and STS-61-B — as a McDonnell Douglas payload specialist, becoming the first non-government employee to fly aboard a NASA spacecraft. The signature is underscored with a confident flourish and remains crisp and dark against the cream stock.
This piece comes directly from the collection of the individual who personally acquired the autograph. A certificate of authenticity issued by Mesilla Valley Estate Sales accompanies the lot, along with a signed letter from the consignor attesting to the circumstances of acquisition — a meaningful and uncommon provenance package for a signed space collectible.
CONDITION
Very Good. Clean signing surface with a bold, unfaded signature. Light handling to the card edges; faint pencil ghosting showing through from the reverse.
