Mid-Century Wrought Iron Mesh Patio Set — Pair of Barrel Chairs & Side Table

A three-piece wrought iron patio grouping in the 1950s–60s idiom, comprising a matched pair of barrel-back armchairs and a small folding bistro table. The chairs feature curved tubular frames with diamond-pattern expanded metal mesh seats and backs, scrolled arm volutes, and an applied floral-and-scroll crest along the top rail. The folding side table carries a round mesh top on a collapsible iron base. All three pieces are unmarked and wear a white painted finish — a blank canvas ready for whatever color your garden calls for.

The barrel chair form, mesh construction, and floral cresting place this set squarely in the postwar American outdoor furniture tradition. Sturdy iron frames have held up through decades of outdoor use and will hold up through decades more. Strip them back, prime them, and paint them to suit: glossy black, terracotta, sage, or whatever the patio demands.

CONDITION

Good overall with honest signs of outdoor use. Chipping and finish wear throughout, with spots of rust and oxidation along the mesh edges, seat frames, and feet. No remarkable structural damage; frames remain sound. Could use fresh paint.
