1923 United States Peace Silver Dollar
United States silver dollar dated 1923, struck in 90% silver. The obverse depicts Liberty in left-facing profile, her hair flowing back, wearing a radiate crown. The legend LIBERTY arcs across the upper field, with IN GOD WE TRVST inscribed below the truncation of the neck, and the date 1923 at the lower border. The designer's monogram (AdeF, for Anthony de Francisci) is present at the base of the neck.
The reverse shows a bald eagle perched on a rock, clutching an olive branch and facing the rising sun at the right. The legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and E PLURIBUS UNUM arc across the upper field, with ONE DOLLAR flanking the eagle and PEACE inscribed on the rock at the bottom.
