1922 United States Peace Silver Dollar
A 1922 United States Peace dollar, struck in 90% silver. The date is clearly legible at the lower obverse.
The obverse displays Anthony de Francisci's left-facing portrait of Liberty with flowing hair and a radiant crown, the legend LIBERTY arcing across the upper field and IN GOD WE TRVST flanking the truncation of the neck. The designer's stylized AF monogram is visible at the base of the neck above the date 1922.
The reverse shows a bald eagle perched on a rock, grasping an olive branch, facing the rays of a rising sun. The legends UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and E PLURIBUS UNUM appear above, with ONE DOLLAR flanking the eagle and PEACE inscribed on the rock below.
