Suzanne Kane (b. Kane’s sculptures—frequently a combination of welded steel and ceramics—are held in major collections including the Archie Bray Foundation, the American Museum of Ceramic Art (AMOCA), and public installations at the New Mexico State Capitol, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and the Albuquerque Library System. Profiled in Ceramics Monthly in 2001, she is recognized as an influential voice in contemporary studio ceramics, admired for her ability to balance playfulness with profound symbolic meaning.
