A stately sterling silver trophy vase by Wallace Silversmiths, model 3171, crafted in a tall amphora form with classical and Art Deco influences. This elegant piece features sweeping vertical lines and refined proportions, with twin handles rising in a gentle arc and terminating in finely detailed laurel wreath loops—a timeless symbol of victory and honor. The surface is sleek and mirror-finished, showing the subtle marks of hand-finishing typical of early 20th-century American silverwork.
Marked on the underside “WALLACE,” “STERLING,” “3171,” and “RW 85,” with the stag hallmark of Wallace Silversmiths. Dating to the 1920s–1930s, this vase exemplifies the firm’s transition from ornate Victorian styles to the streamlined elegance of the Art Deco era. It makes a striking statement piece or ceremonial presentation vessel.
Condition:
