This solid cherry four-poster bed by Sumter Cabinet Co., a division of Korn Industries, exemplifies the company's dedication to traditional American craftsmanship. Established in 1889, Sumter Cabinet Co. was renowned for its meticulous 28-step finishing process, producing heirloom-quality furniture until its closure in 2006 .
The bed features a scalloped headboard, turned corner posts, and a spindle footboard, reflecting the Colonial Revival style popular in mid-20th-century American furniture. Designed to accommodate a full-size mattress with included slats, it can also be adapted for a queen-size mattress with longer slats (not included).
