Cielito Lindo Triptych Shadow Box — Morning, Day & Night, Folk Art Mexico
This whimsical hand-painted triptych shadow box by Cielito Lindo Estudio humorously illustrates a skeleton’s daily routine across three compartments: “La Mañana” (morning), “El Día” (day), and “La Noche” (night). Each vignette features calavera figures performing themed activities—lifting weights, working at a desk, and embracing at night—paired with Spanish proverbs about exercise, work, and love.
Crafted in San Miguel de Allende by José Antonio “El Santo” Madrazo, the piece reflects the studio’s signature style: bold colors, folk motifs, and irreverent charm. Made of painted tin with mixed-media elements, it includes a printed maker label, model field, and original tag affixed verso. Wall-mountable with built-in loop.
Condition:
Excellent condition overall. Vibrant surface paint and secure three-dimensional elements. No damage noted; minor handcrafted texture consistent with artisan production.
Size:
8" X 12 1/2" X 1 1/2" (Height x Width x Depth)
