Description

Bawo & Dotter B&Co Limoges France 14" Hexagonal Art Nouveau Floral Vase

This 14-inch hexagonal porcelain vase is a fine example of early 20th-century Art Nouveau craftsmanship by Bawo & Dotter's Elite Works in Limoges, France. The vase features hand-painted floral motifs, including stylized pink peonies and blue blossoms, framed within ornate cartouche-style medallions. Delicate pastel backgrounds and gilded accents adorn the vertical panels, enhancing its elegant design.

Marked "B & Co France" on the base, this piece dates between 1896 and 1914, corresponding to the period when Bawo & Dotter produced their own porcelain at the Elite Works in Limoges . The vase's substantial size and intricate detailing make it a standout decorative item, suitable for collectors and admirers of antique French porcelain.

Condition

In good condition, exhibiting minor surface wear consistent with age. There are no chips or cracks. Notably, there is floral adhesive residue inside the bottom of the vase, indicative of prior use in floral arrangements. The gilding remains largely intact with slight rubbing. Please refer to the photos for a detailed view.
