Avid Model 102 Vintage Speakers – 1978, Walnut, Classic
Offered here is a pair of Avid Model 102 loudspeakers, crafted in East Providence, RI and dated December 7, 1978, per the original warranty card (included). These 2-way speakers are known for their minimum diffraction design and feature adjustable balance control, a high-frequency driver fuse, and durable cabinet construction.
Finished in rich real wood veneer, each unit is fitted with its original removable fabric grille and clearly labeled input terminals. The backs are marked with matching serial numbers, and the drivers (woofer and tweeter) appear original. The overall design reflects the company's focus on acoustic accuracy, making them ideal for vintage hi-fi systems.
A rarely seen and beautifully preserved example of American loudspeaker engineering from the late 1970s.
Condition
