Lot of 7 Ball Mason Jars – Ideal & Perfect, Numbered Bases
A vintage grouping of seven Ball canning jars, featuring a mix of Ball Ideal and Ball Perfect Mason models in classic aqua blue glass. The collection includes jars with base numbers 1, 2, 4, and 9, and several are clearly maker marked with embossed logos. One jar is marked with the patent date "Pat'd July 14, 1908", and another bears a Ball Perfect Mason imprint with the numbers 2 and 8.
Included are both wire bail and screw-top closure types, with one clear glass lid and one zinc screw-top lid. The jars range in height, with most measuring approximately 7½ inches, one shorter at 5 inches (#9), and the tallest standing 9 inches high.
Highly collectible and decorative, these jars are perfect for farmhouse decor, storage, or display. Each piece reflects Ball’s early 20th-century craftsmanship, with slight variations in mold and embossing details that appeal to collectors and vintage kitchenware enthusiasts alike.
Condition
Good overall vintage condition. Minor wear from age and use. Rust and oxidation present on several wire bails. No cracks, chips, or structural damage observed. The glass retains its clarity and characteristic blue tone. See photos for base numbers and lid styles.
