Zuni "Raindancer" Kachina by Bernard Comosona
This hand-carved and painted Kachina doll represents a Zuni Rain Dancer, signed by noted artisan Bernard Comosona on the base. The figure showcases vibrant polychrome detailing with traditional motifs, including a turquoise-colored mask, yellow-and-black body paint, and a skirt wrapped in red and blue woven textile. Accents include natural feathers, fur, and leather, with yarn ties at the ankles and a gourd rattle in one hand.
A culturally meaningful piece from the Zuni Pueblo tradition, this doll is both decorative and collectible—a fine example of Native American craftsmanship.
