KWO Erzgebirge Smoker Figurine – Forest Worker with Axe, Wood & Pipe, Like New
This authentic KWO (Kunstgewerbe-Werkstätten Olbernhau GmbH) incense smoker depicts a traditional German forest worker, meticulously handcrafted in the Erzgebirge region. The figure features a bearded woodsman carrying split firewood, kindling, and tools—including an axe, saw, rope, and thermos—all crafted from natural wood elements. His red cap and smoking pipe add to the rustic charm, embodying the renowned "Bearded Ones" series by KWO.
Designed as a functional Räuchermann (smoker), the figure separates at the waist to accommodate incense cones, allowing fragrant smoke to emerge, enhancing its lifelike appearance. The underside bears the "Old World Christmas, Spokane, WA" mark, indicating its inclusion in a special U.S. export line.
This piece stands approximately 7 inches tall and serves as both a decorative item and a functional incense burner, making it a perfect addition to any collection of German folk art or holiday décor.
