Argus C3 Rangefinder Camera—f/3.5 50mm Lens, Walz Micrometer, Case
This is a vintage Argus C3 35mm rangefinder camera, equipped with a coated f/3.5 50mm Cintar lens and housed in its original Argus-branded leather case. Also included is a Walz micrometer rangefinder in its own stitched leather pouch—a useful accessory for fine focusing accuracy.
A widely recognized American camera produced between 1939 and 1966, the Argus C3 is known for its boxy form, durable build, and straightforward manual controls. It uses standard 35mm film (not included) and features coupled rangefinder focusing and a mechanical shutter.
The lens glass is clean and free of visible scratches, haze, or fungus. The Walz micrometer appears complete and aligns accurately with the camera. Serial number 355358 is visible inside the film door. A clean example of a beloved mid-century design, perfect for collectors or film photography enthusiasts.
Condition
In good condition overall, with visible signs of use. The optics are clear and the shutter is functional. The leather strap is torn where the buckle holes are, and the leather case shows typical surface wear from age. The film chamber is clean; light seals are untested. No flash unit is included. Please refer to the photos for all included components.
