About the Artist:
Aurelio Pescina (1938-1990) was a celebrated Mexican artist known for his use of vibrant colors and expressive, primitive style. His works, often depicting rural landscapes, everyday life, and genre scenes, evoke the essence of Mexican culture during the mid-20th century. Born in San Luis Potosí, Pescina's early talent earned him a scholarship to the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA), where he refined his artistic vision.

One of the highlights of his career was his participation in creating murals at the prestigious National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City, a testament to his skill and national recognition. He exhibited widely, both in Mexico and internationally, with shows in cities such as Athens, Dallas, and San Diego, gaining broad appeal for his ability to bring Mexican traditions and daily life into vivid focus.
