This Is Quite An Incredible Desk. As A Starter The Handsome Block Front Style Drawers With Some Of The Best Brass Handles We Have Ever Seen Show Off The Commitment To Quality. The Ornately Carved Drop Section Folds Down And For Safety Reasons Rests On The Two Pull Out Panels. Our Favorite Part Is The Wonderful Top Section Which Has A Wood Border With Brass Twisted Spindles. The Interior Of The Desk Offers Nice Additional Storage. The Claw Feet Finish Off The Desk Nicely. It's About As Good As One Can Hope To Find In A Writing Desk Of This Style. Exquisite Carving Of The North Wind God On The Front Of The Drop Leaf. The Most Frequently Missing Area Is The Gallery Around The Top Which Finishes Off The Desk So Nicely. One Last Point Is What Is Called The Secondary Wood Is The Best Cut Of Oak. The Secondary Wood Is The Wood Used On The Interior Of The Drawers. Normally Cheaper Wood Is Used, Not Here. Quarter Sawn Oak Is What Was Used. It's A Giveaway To How Much Was Done To Give The Buyer The Best Money Can Buy. We Believe This Desk Was Made By The Horner Co. Known For This Kind Of Quality.
