Laurel Floor Lamp with Floating Glass Table
Mid-century walnut and brass floor lamp by Laurel Lamp Company. The central shaft of this graceful floor lamp is walnut, and the round glass table is supported by a brass fitting so it appears to be floating on the central shaft. A brass flare at the top is complemented by a brass base inlaid with walnut veneer. The ivory-colored drum lamp shade is topped by an elegant tall Laurel finial. There are no surviving paper labels, but the owner believes this is Laurel Lamp model 0-680 from their 1965 catalogue. It has a three-way light switch. The Laurel Lamp company was based in Newark, New Jersey from 1946 to 1981.
