Description

Paul McCobb Planner Group Chair

Iconic Mid-Century Paul McCobb spindle-back dining or desk chair, made of solid maple. Paul McCobb was a prominent mid-century designer of furniture and other household items. His Planner Group line was manufactured by Winchendon Furniture Company in Massachusetts. It was among the best-selling contemporary furniture lines of the 1950s and was produced from 1949 to 1964. The line was popular because of its clean lines, solid construction, and affordability. The goal was to make good design available to a wide section of the American public, and McCobb Planner Group items remain very popular with Mid-Century collectors today.
