Description

Richard Tsosie Bird's Nest Sterling Cuff

This exquisite Bird's Nest Sterling Cuff by renowned Navajo jeweler Richard Tsosie showcases his mastery in multi-stone inlay work and detailed silver craftsmanship. Inspired by a bird's nest, the bracelet features a stunning arrangement of turquoise, coral, fossilized bone, and lapis lazuli stones, skillfully inlaid in the shape of an egg, symbolizing the beauty and harmony of nature. The silver band is designed to resemble the bark of a tree, adorned with finely detailed feather and leaf motifs, highlighting Tsosie's signature style that blends traditional Navajo symbolism with contemporary design.

Richard Tsosie's jewelry is highly esteemed and has been featured in prestigious collections and publications, including The Museum of Man in San Diego, The Smithsonian, The Heard Museum, and The Museum of Northern Arizona. His work gained public attention in the August 1979 Jewelry Collectors Issue of Arizona Highways Magazine, and he continues to be celebrated for his contributions to Native American art.

Condition: The bracelet is in good condition, showing virtually no wear. The inlay work is intact with vibrant colors, and the silver retains its polished finish. The artist's signature, "R. Tsosie," is clearly visible on the inside of the band, confirming its authenticity. We will leave the polishing to you, and the stones are secure in their settings.

Dimensions:

  • Overall: 2.25" x 2.9" x 1.5"
  • Opening: 1.309"
  • Inner Diameter: 6.75"
  • Weight: 106.56 grams

This piece is not only a beautiful example of Navajo artistry but also a valuable collector's item, reflecting the cultural heritage and artistic innovation of Richard Tsosie.
