Hardman Peck Capo d'Astro Baby Grand Piano
A classic walnut baby grand piano by Hardman & Co. (New York). Features a brown walnut case over tapered legs terminating in block feet and mounted with castors.
Hardman Peck pianos, known as one of the most pivotal names in United States piano history, was established as the Hardman Piano Company by Hugh Hardman in 1842 in NYC. Until 1890, the company was controlled by the Hardman family. Later, Leopold Peck became a partner and the company was renamed Hardman Peck. For many years, The Hardman Peck piano was the official piano of New York's famed Metropolitan Opera.
