Absolutely stunning large heavy silver box, most probably a wedding box but could be used as a jewelry or dressing table box. Circa 1890, Hanau, Germany, Makers Mark Of Ludwig Neresheimer, .800 Silver made around late 19th century by highly acclaimed and sought after silver maker Neresheimer. Neresheimer & Sohne is undoubtedly the most famous of the Hanau silversmiths working at the end of the 19th century.
Well detailed and well defined hinged cover depicting a court ceremony. Sides also beautifully engraved. Thick gauge of silver.
In Mint Condition with no damage whatsoever. The detail on this box is superb. Outstanding quality. A great addition to a silver collection or unique gift.
