Per The Vasefinder Museum: Frank Willett Was Born In Seattle, Washington And Spent Most Of His Rearing Years Living In Central Washington State, As His Father Worked For The Grand Cooley Dam Project. He Would Move With His Family To Berkeley, California, Where He Finished His High School Education At Berkeley High School In 1947. Frank First Began Throwing Clay At A California Junior College In The 1950's Before He Was Drafted In The Korean War. After His Service In The Military, He Attended CSU Long Beach, Where He Received An Undergraduate Degree In Sociology With A Minor In Art. He Received A M.A. In Fine Art From CSU Los Angeles. He Taught High School Art For Many Years In The Los Angeles Area Before Establishing The Santa Fe Pottery In 1971. His Work Is Primarily Functional In Content, Where He Uses Both Porcelain And Stoneware. A Portion Of His Exhibition Record Includes: Pottery Making Demonstration, The Gamut, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 1973; Four On The Floor , Artist Co-Op Gallery, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 1975; Arts And Crafts Fair Of The Southwest, Santa Fe, New Mexico, 1976 And Kermezaar , El Paso Museum Of Art, El Paso Convention Center, El Paso, Texas, 1977.
