Before 1920's blight decimated the growth of American Wormy Chestnut it was used to build log cabins and bridges..it is from these failing structures that he finds most of his material...carving the wormy chestnuts with it's natural character adds to the realism of this beautiful Brown Pelican. His work is displayed in many galleries and additional information can be found about his history on the internet.
