• This light and bright ranch-style house sits on 25 acres with the Rio Grande as the western boundary. It is a great location for wildlife observations, hiking, and general exploring of miles of adjacent public lands. The Bosque del Apache NWR is about 20 minutes south and Socorro is 20 minutes north for shopping and entertainment. Birding is especially good here and we provide a checklist of species seen and several guidebooks. It's quiet and peaceful with plenty of room to spread out.
• At 2000 square feet the house has two bedrooms, 2 baths, living and dining, a sunroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a carport, front and back patios, and a fenced-in yard. Well-behaved pets are welcomed.
• There is a small cabin located on the property where we spend about one week a month. When we are not there, a neighbor will help you with any needs that come up.
• There are a few other houses within sight but they are spread out so that there is a lot of privacy without isolation. In nearby San Antonio, NM are two famous restaurants specializing in green Chile cheeseburgers and a good Mexican restaurant.
• The road to the house is paved but it becomes dirt just at the gate. A car is necessary, although hiking, mountain bike riding, and even horseback riding are great activities along the dirt road for several miles to the north.
