A stereoscope is a device for viewing a stereoscopic pair of separate images, depicting left-eye and right-eye views of the same scene, as a single three-dimensional image.
Sir Charles Wheatstone (1802-1875) is credited with inventing the stereoscope in 1838, which used mirrors to display an image. Because photography was not a practical medium, drawings were used. This stereoscope and views are worth $75 to $100. Some views are worth more than others, depending on subject matter.
