This painting titled "Round-about" is 16 inches by 12 inches done by Edwina Milner of Santa Fe sometime in period of 2014 to 2017. This work is done in acrylic paint and gold leaf.
As well as being an artist, Milner is known as an art-world shaper. She was founder of the New Mexico Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. And while in Santa Fe you will note that there are many museums adjacent to the Milner Plaza named for Edwina and her husband Charles.
This painting is significant to me because of my attachment to Santa Fe. With this painting I would like to include the Arts Issue of the Santa Fean Magazine dated June/July 2014. Page 54 profiles the life and work of Edwina Milner and her one-woman show Golden Paths.
I have seen a postcard entitled "laughing girl" which reminds me of the Milner painting: outstretched arms/open heart.
