Queen Anne Style Cherry Lowboy with Carved Shell & Cabriole Legs
A Queen Anne style lowboy in solid wood with a warm cherry-toned finish, built with a molded overhanging top above a case of three drawers — one full-width upper drawer over two flanking lower drawers. Each front is fitted with pierced brass batwing pulls, and the drawers are dovetail-constructed throughout. The lower center apron carries a deeply carved shell flanked by shaped, scrolled skirting.
The case rises on four cabriole legs terminating in slipper feet, the classic silhouette of the Queen Anne vocabulary. The back is finished rather than left rough, making the piece equally at home as a freestanding hall or center table. Solid wood construction throughout; unmarked./p>
CONDITION
Very Good. Shows signs of use with no remarkable damage. Finish and hardware present well; drawers operate smoothly.
