Description

Alaska Cutlery Ulu Knife with Laminated Ash & Walnut Cutting Block & Bowl

An ulu knife and block set from Alaska Cutlery of Anchorage, pairing a stainless steel rocker blade with a laminated hardwood base that doubles as chopping board and mixing bowl. The 6" curved blade follows the traditional Inuit ulu profile, fitted to a hardwood handle secured with two brass rivets. The rocking motion mince herbs, garlic, and nuts with a downward pivot rather than a slicing draw.

The companion block is built up from alternating strips of light ash and darker walnut, laminated into a solid slab with a carved concave bowl at center — the recess cradles ingredients as you rock the blade, and the ulu stows in the depression for storage. The block face carries the burned-in Alaska Cutlery mountain-oval maker's mark. Original care documentation is included in the reference photos.

CONDITION

Excellent, near new. Blade is bright and clean; wood shows crisp lamination lines and edges with no notable wear.
