Jim Shore "Angel Of Love" Heartwood Creek Folk Art Angel with Birds
From Jim Shore's Heartwood Creek collection for Enesco, this figural angel titled "Angel Of Love" cradles a nest of fledgling birds against her chest. The design draws on Shore's signature blend of American quilt patterning and Pennsylvania Dutch rosemaling, seen here in the sculpted floral crown, the pieced-quilt bodice, and the multi-tiered skirt worked in blue, ochre stripe, and pale bands.
The lower skirt carries a folk-art village of pink birdhouses, green trees, and blue songbirds beneath a painted sky band, while the tiered overskirt is trimmed with pink blossoms on green stems and a scalloped border. Wings are finished in yellow with pink accents and blue-edged tips. CONDITION
