Sterling Silver Salt & Pepper Shaker Pair
A matched pair of weighted sterling silver shakers in the classic bell-form profile, each with a domed, pierced top rising to a pointed finial and a flaring skirted base finished with a gadrooned rim. Both bases are marked STERLING WEIGHTED, and both retain the maker's mark. The weighted construction gives them the stable heft typical of table shakers from this style, with the sterling exterior over a reinforced base.
Bell-form shakers like these were a staple of mid-century American tables and dressing sets, valued for their upright presence and easy handling. The pair reads as a coordinated set, ready to return to the table once polished — the tarnish and toning across both pieces is surface only.
CONDITION
Good with age-appropriate wear. Denting present, and both pieces carry heavy tarnish and dark toning across the tops and bodies. We'll leave the polishing to you.
