Miniature Copper & Brass Coiled Post Horn
A small decorative copper post horn with a coiled loop leading to a flared, conical bell. The bell rim and the collar joining the mouthpipe to the body are finished in polished brass, providing warm contrast against the rose-toned copper. A brass ferrule wraps the junction where the coil meets the horn, and the tapered mouthpiece terminates in a flared cup. The piece is unmarked.
Modeled on the traditional coach and hunting horns once sounded to announce arrivals and rally the field, this hand-formed miniature works as a mantel or shelf accent. Light tooling and forming marks along the bell cone attest to its handmade construction.
CONDITION
Good. Age-appropriate wear with minor dents to the bell cone and some interior tarnish at the bell mouth. Copper and brass surfaces retain a bright polish overall.
