Slag Glass Panel Table Lamp, Cobalt & Amber Shade on Cast Metal Base
A paneled slag glass table lamp pairing a domed six-panel shade in mottled cobalt blue glass with a scalloped lower skirt banded in textured amber glass. The panels are joined with soldered lead came and set into a scalloped upper crown, giving the shade its tapered, umbrella-like silhouette. The brass base rises from a footed, foliate-cast platform through a knopped and scrolled standard to the socket, operated by a pull-chain switch. The shade is unmarked.
Tested and fully functional; the socket accommodates a standard bulb. The bold two-tone palette — deep cobalt over a glowing amber hem — reads dramatically when lit, a period take on the leaded-panel shades that furnished parlors and reading tables in the early 20th century.
CONDITION
Fair with age-appropriate wear throughout. Two cracked panels and several areas of came separation are present, including a chipped upper-crown panel edge and open joints along the lower skirt. Tested and working; wiring and pull-chain function.
