Amish Solid Oak One-Drawer Nightstand with Open Shelf & Brass Knob
An Amish-built solid oak nightstand with a single top drawer over an open lower shelf. The construction shows the hallmarks of the tradition: dovetailed drawer joinery, a finished back panel, and no veneers — solid oak throughout. Frame-and-panel sides, a gently arched apron beneath the drawer, and a matching arched base rail give the piece its clean, functional lines. A single polished brass knob centers the drawer front.
The drawer rides on heavy-duty ball-bearing rails for smooth, full extension — a durable upgrade over traditional wood runners. The open shelf below offers accessible storage for books or a reading stack. Built to last and equally at home beside a bed or as an end table. The underside carries a handwritten notation reading "(2/6/10) A. outlet store."
