Description

Antique Yellow-Painted Pine Plank-Top Farmhouse Coffee Table

A low, sturdy occasional table built from solid pine with a plank-paneled top and squared, tapered legs. The surface wears its original yellow paint, now faded and worn through to the grain across the high-traffic center, with darker aprons framing the top. A row of exposed nail heads runs along the front edge where the top meets the frame — honest, utilitarian construction of the type made for daily use rather than display.

The heavily worn finish is the character here: the yellow ground survives in the recesses while the raised surfaces have softened to bare wood, giving the plank top a mottled, sun-bleached quality. Unmarked and of country manufacture, it works equally well as a coffee table, bench-height side surface, or low display piece. Rustic by design.

CONDITION

Good and structurally sturdy. Expected fading, discoloration, and paint loss to the top and legs consistent with age and use; darker stains and knots throughout the plank surface. Age-appropriate wear as shown.
