Mark N. Brown Signed NASA Guam Tracking Station Cover, 1984
Airmail cover from the NASA Spaceflight Tracking and Data Network (STDN) station at Dandan, Guam, corner-carded to station director G. J. Karras and struck with the round GUAM Spaceflight Tracking Data Network cachet — a satellite dish rising over palms and the island silhouette. Franked with a 20¢ Preserving Wetlands duck stamp and postmarked Agat, Guam 96916 / Inarajan Rural Station, August 30, 1984.
Boldly signed in pencil across the front by astronaut Mark N. Brown, USAF colonel and veteran of Space Shuttle missions STS-28 (1989) and STS-48 (1991). The Guam station served as a key ground link in NASA's global tracking network, relaying voice and data during Shuttle-era operations. A Certificate of Authenticity will be issued by Mesilla Valley Estate Sales.
CONDITION
Very Good. Clean cover with crisp cachet and clear postmark; pencil signature is legible and complete. Light handling only, with faint scattered specks to the reverse.
