Corning Ware Cornflower Blue Saucepan & Casserole Set with Detachable Handle
A three-piece set of Corning Ware in the classic Cornflower Blue pattern, the white Pyroceram ground carrying the familiar cornflower spray. The lot pairs a 1-quart saucepan (P-55-B, marked "Made in U.S.A. For Range & Microwave") with its glass lid and detachable chrome-and-black clamp handle, alongside a 1½-quart square casserole (P-4-B, "Made in U.S.A.") with its own glass lid.
Cornflower Blue launched in 1958 and became the defining look of mid-century American kitchens — flameproof ceramic that moved straight from burner to oven to table. The detachable handle locks onto the saucepan rim and releases for compact storage, a hallmark of the early "P" series. Glass lids and handle are included; both pieces are maker-marked on the underside.
CONDITION
Good overall with signs of use. Utensil scratches and fine surface wear to the interiors; the saucepan base shows scorch staining and surface oxidation around the foot ring consistent with stovetop use. Glass lids are intact and clear.
