Rico Tomaso "Girl with Tambourine" Lithograph on Board, Framed
A mid-century pin-up-adjacent portrait after illustrator Rico Tomaso, whose signature reads at the upper right. A dark-haired woman in a loose golden blouse holds a tambourine against her cheek, stacked bangles at her wrist and large gold hoops framing the face — the kind of romantic Latin subject Tomaso and his peers turned out for magazine covers and print portfolios through the 1950s. The palette runs warm and earthy, with the figure emerging from a soft brown-to-olive ground.
This is a lithograph reproduction on textured board with a printed signature, presented framed without glass in a black and gold molding that suits the period feel. Tomaso (1898–1985) built a long career as a commercial illustrator for the leading slicks of the era, and images like this one were widely distributed as decorative prints — a recognizable slice of postwar illustration style that reads convincingly as an oil at a glance.
CONDITION
Good. Scuffing to the printed surface with no remarkable damage; the art is slightly warped. Light scuffing to the frame. Framed without glass.
