Wallace Silversmiths 1989 Grande Baroque Sterling Ornament — Two Turtle Doves
The second issue in Wallace Silversmiths' Grande Baroque annual ornament series, this sterling silver 1989 ornament renders the second day of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" — two turtle doves — within the swirling foliate repoussé that defines the Grande Baroque pattern. The teardrop form carries a pair of facing doves at center, framed by beaded scrollwork, acanthus volutes, and a single blossom at the lower point, all worked in high relief over polished sterling.
The reverse is hallmarked "Wallace Sterling 1989" alongside the Wallace "W" maker's mark. The lot is complete with its original Wallace Silversmiths presentation box, blue Wallace Sterling polishing pouch, and the printed annual-edition documentation card identifying it as the 1989 Grande Baroque Sterling Ornament, second in the series. An integral loop and jump ring at the crown allow hanging.
CONDITION
Good. Surface tarnish and light handling marks consistent with age and storage; we'll leave the polishing to you. Relief detail and hallmark remain crisp, and the hanging loop is secure.
