Trek 830 Antelope Chromoly Mountain Bike — Drop-Bar Touring Conversion, 21-Speed
A Trek 830 Antelope built on a 17" Cr-Mo 4130 P.G. tubes frame in gloss black with green graphics, here converted into a drop-bar commuter/touring setup. The frame retains its original Antelope top-tube script and oversized green "830" down-tube numbering. The cockpit has been rebuilt with anodized purple alloy drop bars, gold-anodized clamp hardware, and YETI-branded grips, paired with Shimano STI integrated brake/shift levers and a brass bell. A purple-anodized bottle cage completes the custom color treatment.
The drivetrain runs a 21-speed setup with a Shimano Exage 300LX triple crankset on a Biopace-SG spider, an Exage 300LX rear derailleur, and SIS (Shimano Index System) indexed shifting. Wheels are aftermarket ZeroLite Limited Edition by Vuelta rims shod with Panaracer HiRoad V 26 × 1.50 slick tires, front and rear. The saddle is a zero y perched on an alloy seatpost. A genuine early-'90s Trek hardtail reworked into a fast-rolling hybrid.
CONDITION
Good overall, with honest cosmetic wear throughout. The chrome stem shows polishing scuffs; the crank arm, derailleur body, and chain carry surface oxidation and grime, and there is light rust at several bolt heads and the seat collar. Tires hold air and tread is intact. Drivetrain and shifting are present and complete.
